“The challenge of change” with Small Business Commissioner & onwards to Farnborough
The new Small Business Commissioner, Paul Uppal, will give the keynote speech at the West of England Aerospace Forum’s (WEAF) annual conference on the 28th of February at Ashton Gate, Bristol. Places and tables are selling fast so anyone interested should visit https://www.weaf.co.uk/events/2018-weaf-annual-conference-exhibition-2/.
Mr Uppal will highlight the importance of SMEs to aerospace in the South West, the UK’s largest regional cluster. The event will attract more than 250 senior managers and leaders from companies throughout the aerospace sector, including Airbus, GE Aviation, GKN Aerospace, Leonardo Helicopters, Rolls Royce, and Safran.
The theme of the conference this year is “The Challenge of Change”, and speakers will provide their insights into activities in the Aerospace sector, whether they relate to commercial or defence business, current developments or future technologies. The political, economic and social landscape in the UK and globally is changing beyond recognition, and the appetite for international trade and collaboration is increasing daily.
At the same time WEAF’s pods at the Farnborough International Airshow are also selling fast. Over 75% of the space has been sold, with four pods available. This is a way to create a strong presence at the Show with real value for money. The WEAF Pod Package includes: comprehensive event management and marketing package to simplify exhibiting experience; prominent and prestigious NEW Hall 1 location – centrally located in the UK Pavilion near the main show entrance; complete exhibition package; access to full stand hospitality and events.
Simon Young, Chief Executive of WEAF, the leading membership trade organisation for aerospace and defence companies in the South West, said: “These are turbulent times for the aerospace industry, and also opportunities for huge growth.
“So come along to our annual conference to network with companies from the largest aerospace cluster outside the USA, meet new contacts and find out what the future holds. And don’t miss out on creating a powerful presence at the world’s foremost aerospace exhibition, Farnborough, with real value for money.”
