The Empowering Women in the Workplace event delivered on 1st July 2025, hosted by Boeing was very well received.
Those who attended included colleagues from primes, education, the public sector, and SMEs.
The topic was Male Allyship and Flexible Working. Boeing Defence UK and Shakespeare Martineau delivered talks to the room. The informal format, diverse speakers, and opportunity for open conversation were highlighted as key.
Overall, the event was a success, with attendees keen to attend future sessions.
- “I enjoyed both speakers, who were very different. I thought the discussions in between were very interesting.”
- “Ian from Boeing, Belinda was great, Maxine always fab, [and] Colin great and all of the event production team from WEAF.”
- “The whole event worked so well being short but efficient with time and objectives as well as a large but not too large group size. Thank you.”
- “It promoted engaging conversations.”
We received the following testimonials on the event:
- Empowered women, sharing best practice together, to make a difference currently and in the future.
- Open discussions, safe space to discuss and empower one another.
- WEAF organised another inspiring and collaborative event for women in the aerospace industry, which brought together many talented women to share thoughts and ideas.
- It was refreshing to be part a of a small but meaningful event to engage women and help spread the best ways to empower others in this sector to succeed and support one another. Looking forward to further opportunities to collaborate on the issues.
Thank you to all who attended and responded and we look forward to welcoming you to the next one in September!
