WEAF is hosting its next session, Empowering Women in the Workplace and at its taking place in Yeovil. The third in the event series we are holding this session for women throughout our industry across all stages of their career providing a safe and open forum in order to support each other.
On 30 September, we are hosting, by popular demand, a session on menopause. This morning session will be running from 8:30am to 11:30am, with a light breakfast provided and plenty of time for networking and discussion.
Karen Leigh, an HR and Menopause Consultant, will be discussing the uniqueness of menopause as a journey. Karen empowers women to regain confidence, balance, and control. With a focus on thriving and not just surviving, Karen will delve into how peers and male allies can support individuals effectively with compassion and understanding.
In addition, we are pleased to note that Somerset’s Needles and Pins a family-owned, female-led business will be joining this session. Needles and Pins deliver high quality textile solutions to customers in the aerospace and defence sectors. Carole Champion will share how the company, which started six years ago with just two employees and two sewing machines, has significantly expanded in recent years.
