The WEAF Annual Gala Dinner 2025, held on Thursday 27th November at the Winter Gardens, Weston-Super-Mare, delivered an incredible evening of celebration, connection, and industry excellence for the south-west’s aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing community.
With nearly 200 attendees in the room, the atmosphere was buzzing as professionals from across aerospace, defence, and advanced manufacturing along with many support service businesses, came together for an unforgettable night of networking, fine dining, and entertainment, under the Casino Royale theme.

The after-dinner guest speaker, Matthew Dunn, former MI6 officer and bestselling author, recounted stories of his career in intelligence and life inside the world of covert operations, which perfectly matched the intrigue and elegance of the evening’s theme.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed networking with senior leaders and professionals from across the region’s manufacturing and engineering sectors, reinforcing WEAF’s role at the heart of collaboration and innovation in the south-west.
The night concluded with plenty of fun and friendly competition at the Casino Tables as guests tried their luck at blackjack and roulette in true Bond-style fashion – all in good spirits and for entertainment only, of course!
The guests felt it was a great way to encourage people away from their tables and meet and talk while having fun.
All in all, the WEAF Annual Gala Dinner 2025 evening was a resounding success and a celebration of our sector’s strength, innovation, and community. With a lively casino experience, and fine dining, it was an evening filled with conversation, connection, and inspiration.
