Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and Inclusion for a stronger workplace

The journey to creating a more diverse and inclusive workforce begins with commitment to a clear vision and accountability. At WEAF, we take this responsibility seriously, and we are dedicated to making meaningful steps toward creating a more diverse and inclusive company.

We aim to create a region where everyone can belong and ensures that no one is left out – each person will have what need to thrive. We don’t yet know how we’ll get there, but we know WEAF can only get better.

Michelle Roberts, MCIM

By investing in diversity in our marketing and business as a whole, we not only aim to take steps forward in our effort (albeit small), but we will also be opening our arms to a wider market of members and talent.

WEAF’s Marketing Consultant has had a brain tumour and stoke and lives with her disability on a daily basis. Michelle said:

“Working with WEAF has given me the confidence to make critical contributions across the company. A town’s infrastructure can (and does) make it difficult for me to get around. Being able to work remotely not only means I get to add my skillset to the team, but I also get to communicate with them via MS Teams.”

Having a more diverse and inclusive team changes the quality and impact of our offering, and that’s evident in the content we share. We strive to create a workplace culture where our teammates can be their best selves regardless of cultural differences, place of birth or beliefs, and WEAF benefits from that greatly.

To WEAF, having a more diverse and inclusive workplace allows for different conversations, different views or perspectives and different experiences allowing us to be more agile and current.
