AeroSpace Cornwall – Supply Chain Competitiveness Support Manager

The West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF) is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Supply Chain Competitiveness Support Manager to be an integral part of the team that is delivering the AeroSpace Cornwall programme.  Reflecting the growth of the aerospace and space sectors across Cornwall, the programme promotes and delivers Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (CIoS).
The programme is delivered by WEAF in Cornwall in partnership with the Cornwall Development Company.  Businesses can benefit from RD&I funding for projects, Innovation Vouchers of up to £5,000 and Supply Chain Support of up to 100 hours.  The project is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Cornwall Council.
Supply Chain Competitiveness Support Manager
 Salary £75k – £85k pro rata dependent on experience
0.4 FTE (2 days per week)
Operating across Cornwall
Fixed-term contract to 31st October 2019
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Supply Chain Cluster Competitiveness Support Manager is responsible for identifying suitable aerospace, space and advanced engineering SMEs, engaging them on business performance diagnostics and continuous sustainable improvement plans, and ensuring delivery is on time and to budget, achieving the contracted targets and working to ESIF compliance standards.  SC21 Lead Practitioner qualification is essential.
This role requires travel to/from and within Cornwall.
